inside : outside

Design Theme ...............

INSIDE. OUTSIDE.
IN. SIDE. OUTSIDE.
INSIDE. OUT. SIDE.
IN. SIDE. OUT. SIDE.
  ....................

.........................................................
inside outside
I am also really interested in that theme in particular. For my understanding, I think that terms might mean you can treat inside space as an outside and vice versa. On the other hand, using outside as in interior/inside space and inside as out. But I think the construction and material might be different in terms of their environment.
INSIDE - OUTSIDE.
IN. SIDE - OUTSIDE.
INSIDE - OUT. SIDE.
IN. SIDE - OUT. SIDE.

We had to do that theme assignment in First semester of Interior &  Landscape Design Course. Our Design Studio Lecturer gave that theme to do the design. Here is a little background to why he came up with the theme.
He was inspired by a poem by Gertrude Stein entitled  Sacred Emily (written 1913), where the verbatim line reads  "rose is a rose is a rose is a rose":

Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose
Loveliness extreme.
Extra gaiters,
Loveliness extreme.
Sweetest ice-cream.
Pages ages page ages page ages.

This notion means (or so from the various interpretations people offer) that when all is said and done, a thing is what it is. Therefore, always remember that after all is said and done, through our abstract interpretations, no matter how juxtaposed, the eventual relationship to the interior space is what really matters, thereby creating a rich, deep layered design solution.
I remembered something he said which goes something like:

One of the things that is a very interesting thing to know is how you are feeling inside you to the words that are coming out to be outside of you .
